What do you think this Lou Gehrig Auto will go for?

Remember these Chuck Norris Facts

1. When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the Earth down
2. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, Chuck Norris can actually roundhouse kick you yesterday
3. There are no such things as lesbians, just women who have not yet met Chuck Norris

Geese I'm sure they could have found a better autograph of his to cut out. The card isn't very nice either. I can't believe how much that's going for.. so stupid. Go buy a signed index card and make your own card, it will be cheaper and nicer.

I have no idea how much that will end at but the reserve probably won't be met.

what's really ironic, is that cut came from a signed picture not an index card...a signed pic would likely be more valuable whole than cut out and posted on a modern card.

Geez... spending $7K+ on something like that is absurd. With all the fantastic auctions running at the moment at all the big houses, $7K could buy a nice pre-war card or two, some high end 1960's Topps cards of big stars or some tremendous memorabilia.

Maybe these collectors that are bidding on it already have everything. Probably not though, they probably just have a screw loose.

It looks like it was cut from a cartoon or something in a magazine or program?
A cut sig is valued by PSA SMR - i.e. a 3x5 card at 2 grand - that may be a bit low but this hummer is at 10 grand and not at the reserve!

IMO, the card is not worth the 25K BIN and will not survive the test of time for that kind of money. These cut sig cards are kind of hyped it seems.

Clearly two ladies named Mabel who are die-hard Yankees fans and autograph collectors are battling it out here.

  • It appears to me that bidder (outofcontroldennis) is a shill bidder. In searching his/her feedback there has been absolutely NO sportscard or sports-related purchases by this person.

All feedback is for non-sports items primarily for garbage pail kids collectibles.

If you click into the About Me page for the seller (jbadis) you will find that they advertise a website WWW.GPKIDS.COM. GPKIDS = Garbage Pail Kids.

The rest you all can explore or speculate on yourselves.

This card #7/7 Gehrig Cut Auto is worth approximately $4,000 to $6,000 MAX.

There are six others so it is not unique.

Recently, a Pope John Paul II Cut Auto #1/1 sold at $8100 so that should put this Gehrig piece in perspective. Reasonably most serious buyers would be in the $3000 range for the Gehrig #7/7 card.

    Just my thoughts.
