Topps responds to heritage light backs

I just received an answer from Clay Luraschi, he said they are looking into what the possbile print run would be of the
light backs, as they did not not them when they came from the factory. I again told him about all of us and he was
pleased that there were so many collecting heritage. I then provided him with some basic info on the light backs.

Cool deal Kevin. Let us know what else you hear. My non-scientific sampling of my purchases this year shows that about 1 of every four base cards I have is a white back.

Thanks Todd...actually thats the kind of info we are looking for! Did you buy mostly retail or hobby?

    Kevin,

I'd estimate that I bought about 2/3 retail and the other 1/3 hobby boxes, and I bought from several different sources on both. In general, I noticed A LOT more whitebacks in the retail boxes. In several boxes, all of the first 6 cards from every single pack were whitebacks. I'm going to guess that including the sets I'm working on, I have about 6000 cards, so it's a fairly good size sample. I could be more precise if I had time to go back and count my cards, but I'm in the middle of moving to a new house and I think my Heritage cards are somewhere behinds piles of 5k count boxes. I'll update when I'm able to....and pull for some more sets when I have time...I HATE MOVING!
