a little info on a 1845 victoria

Anyone have a little info on where this coins' originating country is. Also a grade and value?

I wouldnt ask these Q's but at the moment i dont have a good world price guide. Its on my next get list image

    Grade? Maybe VG per US standards. It has problems with verdigris and could use a could acetone soak, etc. to clean the organics from it's surfaces.

    Value? Maybe $3-4. Coincraft lists a Fine example at 4 quid (~$7).
  • can you recommend a good world book for coins, i have quite a few and almost feel like a nag posting looking for info and grades on each one....

    Would you recommend anything else for cleaning it that wouldnt damage the coin, i dont have any acetone on hand unfortunatly image

    For the book, definitely get a Krause ... AKA "Standard Catalog of World Coins". There are separate, and very large volumes for 20th, 19th, 18th and 17th centuries.

    Another product that cleans the coins without damaging them is xylene image
