OT-NEW SCAM----BEWARE!!!!!

These guys are getting more creative all the time. Here is the latest spoof email I received this morning. All with the eBay logo and looking very official. I wonder how many people will fall for this one? image

    Perhaps it's because you are a Powerseller. You sell in high volumes so your ID attracts more interest.

    I get a number of these bloomin' emails, but my wife's account, which sees very little activity, gets next to none.

  • yeah - I got one today that claimed to be a private message from 'the accounts management team' asking that I re-verify everything. It was one of the better written spoofs that I have seen, good spelling, proper English, nice paragraphs, all real good until I got to the last line of the message and saw this:

    'If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choise but to temporaly suspend your account. '

    I guess that since I'm not going to reply to the request, they will use a time machine to go to either a past date or a future data and 'temporaly' suspend my account...image
