Should old players who rehab themselves using stem cell technology be allowed to compete again?

Researchers have begun using stem cells to cure joint problems in horses. They have also been used to connect severed nerves. In addition, stem cells can be stimulated to specify into skin, muscle or any type of tissue.

Enter David Cone.

If he gets his arthritic hip cured via stem cells, should he be allowed to return, or is that considered cheating. Was Tommy John surgery cheating? If not, then stem cell therapy should be OK too.

Not sure I'm following the point. If he can get batters out, he'll return, right?

my point is that because of the steroid scandal, there are certain things an athlete may do and may not due. He cannot use steroids while on the DL in order to rehab an injury.

Are stem cells OK, or is that too much help?
