Welcome all! Does anyone have more?

Hi, As the new person on the boards, i would like to say hi to everyone and tell you a bit about myself.I collect mostly unopened packs from the 50s-70s, a few wax boxes here and there and a few rack cases. My modern favorite baseball sets are 1978 and 79. My favorite vintage set is 1955. I love boxing and have completed a 1951 Ringside psa set. I have been collecting over 20 years and have dealt with just about all the big guns . The unopened market is out of control right now for 50s and 60s quality stuff for many to afford on a regular basis. I have found that trading has helped my collection. My question to the board is ...Does anyone still have a collection as big as the auction that Mr. Mint had recently? Do you think we are topped out right now for prices? image

pffft yet another baseball collector.. just kidding.

Welcome to the forum. You have a great collection by the sounds of it. I'm jealous even though I don't primarily collect baseball.

    Welcome Spazzy!
Sounds like you have some really great stuff! On your question...I have been collecting since the 80's and am not sure where prices will go. Some stuff has stagnated while other stuff has skyrocketed.

Back a few years ago, BBCKid Murphy had his 80+ 52T pack find and put them up for about 1800 a pack and I thought it was too much - now look what they fetch! Quality vintage packs that are certified will continue to appreciate while some stuff stagnates - especially some late 70s stuff. But give it time and some of that could change. Hi quality vintage cards in the 10 range have done well - just look at the track record for the 52T Mantle in 10.

Well, I hope you enjoy your stay here!
