anyone going to the Chicago / Rosement (CICF) this weekend

Is anybody going to the Chicago International Coin Fair (CICF), held in Rosemont, this weekend? I hope to be there on Sunday,
arriving between 10 and 11 Am. It's a day trip for me, by car.

Bourse and talks, Location: Holiday Inn O'Hare, now a Crown Plaza Hotel
5440 North River Road
Rosemont IL 60018
tel. 847-671-6350
mention code CIC for special room rate at that hotel

Bourse hours are: Thu 21 Apr, 2 PM - 6 PM, Preview Day $50 registration
Fri 22 Apr, 10 Am to 6 PM
Sat 23 Apr, 10 Am to 6 PM
Sun 24 Apr, 10 Am to 2 PM

$5 pass for Fri and Sat; Sun is free. Fri, Sat are also free (I believe) for children under 16 w/ an adult.

We'll have a table there. Be sure to drop by.

P.S. If you're coming on Sunday, be sure to get there as early as possible since a number of dealers leave early to catch flights.

  • Hey guys,

For those who haven't been there, I believe this Holiday Inn is now the Crown Plaza.
I wouldn't want someone driving up and down the street not finding the Holiday Inn.

  • Kudos, Carol. I just called them, and RIGHT YOU ARE. It is now a Crown Plaza.

I will edit the first post -- I'd hate people to look for 'River Roda' when they really want 'River Road' image

That's a bummer. I agree about the airfares. Ridiculous to O'Hare. By the time you fork out the bus/taxi costs from Midway, that's outrageous as well.
