Got Grades...

The moment of truth came and went for 11 coins that were submitted to a TPG service that begins with N. Needless to say, there were some expected and unexpected results that can be summarized by the simple view that World Coins seem to offer an incredible amount of enjoyment...

The biggest disappointment was a 1750 Shilling that was graded VF30... this is a nice original coin that I thought had a shot at 40. I liked as an EF, by US Standards, and a 30 seems to be a setback that I will be forced to live with... I don't think they have a Presidential Review...

I submitted 2 ex-python coins. Unfortunately, N does not recognize python as the legend that he is. The 1831 6d was a former ANACS 63 and I thought that was about right but it came back... 64. The other ex-python was a 1741 shilling that I like and it was graded a 45 which is about what I had anticipated.

Sticking with England, the 1818 shilling came back 58... a tad higher than I expected. I submitted a 1912-H 1d and while it may not meet the Wybrit grade, this is one of the best struck examples I have ever seen. Rarely does George V look so good on this date. It came back 62 Brown and I can live with that. The final British coin was an 1887 1/2 crown that came back 64...

German States...

Wildman 2/3 taler 1710 AU55, Saxony 1899 5 Mark 1899 EF40

Well that is it for this time...
