    Sad, sad story. Here is the saddest part:

    "Mills is survived by his wife, Melanie, and four children: Sons Sam III and Marcus and daughters Larissa and Sierra."

    He was a super player and a great guy IMO based on some of the interviews I have seen with him. 45 is very young, and it's sad for his family.

    I realize it was intestinal cancer, but let's face it - steroids, pain killing drugs and constant brutal collisions of 250 - 350 pound men in games and practices does not make for a long lifespan. NFL players are true gladiators.
