Ken, Agreed, and a picture is worth a thousand words:

    Mike

Here we go. I hope some people respond and some others see the threads. If this picks up some steam I will put some pictures up also. What we have been discussing has been the same thing myself and a couple of other collectors have talked about also in the past through PM. Its got to the point of not being able to say "Oh Well" any longer. I will give my honest and truthfull opinions if others will give theirs out here in the open.

You should see the 30S I got a few days ago that is graded MS64. I am strongly thinking about going back and buying more dimes out of the same submission batch that I really do not need at all. Its one of those deals where you cannot go wrong.

Ken (and all), and yet again:

Is there a 3 point grade difference??

I think this can be a civil discussion that can be, and should be, viewed with a open mind by all people that may read or choose to give their opinion. Please open the mouth and give a opinion.

With that said what would be the answer for Mikes question ? Should the earlier dates get a higher grade ? We as merc collectors would love this, more bucks in the pocket but also more bucks out of the pocket. I do not think the money issue is really the issue, consistant grading through the whole series strikes me as a larger problem.

Maybe the later dates should get lower grades.

I sincerely apologize that my posts might have offended some here -- that was not the intent, however appeared to have been the result.

    I am truly sorry.

    Regards,
    Mike.

PS. I have deleted my posts (other than the pics).

Offend? Why? While it is very difficult to accurately grade coins from digital pictures, I would say that clearly "Market Grading" might have something to do with such a phenomenon.image
