Ebay question??

guys i have up for auction over 100 sage rookie cards. here is the thing i got 1 guy who bid on about 40 of my cards and he has zero feedback. just seems strnge to me. is there a way to cancel all his bids on one shot? i have a bad feeling this is just a kid messing with me and a couple other sellers.

what would you guys do? my seller id is gdlcards

  • i would not cancel his bids,he just likes those cards.
  • I would email him asking for his contact info to verify his identity. I do that and if they respond with their name,address/number it usually means they are on the up and up. If he doesnt respond within 12 hours or if the email bounces back cancel and block him. When i usually do that i leave the reason: "Bidder has zero fb and failed to respond, need to verify info first".If they are legit that will get an answer out of them but they will crawl back under the rock they came from if they know they have been nailed.I wish there was a way to block zero bidders on ebay like yahoo does.It would save alot of headaches.Anyways, good luck and i hope it turns out well for you...

At one point we all had ZERO feedback on ebaY...........

....... I am not a collector of MODERN................considerer yourself lucky that someone might take 40 items off your hands at one time....

...If we were talking about $100 items, then we have a different story.

    Agreed..

I had a zero feedback person win my auction and paid within 5 minutes via paypal, while I am still waiting on a payment from a buy it now ( 1 week, which I accepted paypal) item for 7.50 from an ebayer with a feedback of 610 and 99.7% , go figure!!!

A lot of times new bidders (i.e. zero or low feedback) overpay for stuff too! So I wouldn't cancel his bids without some research. Good luck.
  • Send email and ask him to verify his info.

If we were locked out of every auction when we were new on eBay, we probably would have got pretty discouraged. If we never let newbies bid, then eventually there will be no bidders.

The only real downside is that it looks suspicious if a zero buyer bids on only one seller's auctions every week; it looks like a shill. But I haven't had any worse luck with newbies than the general population as far as paying up.
