JAYH - In what regard? The only thing I'm disappointed is there is too much for me to bid on...jay

My gawd, it's like someone emptied a museum and threw it all on auction. If something doesn't make you wish you had more disposable cash, then you're either dead or too rich.

I have to admit I didn't know anything about T210 and of course, that Ruth card. Wow.

Thanks for the link...some absolutely amazing pieces of history in there.

I read about the ruth card in the magazine a while back, but the other items are absolutely incredible to look at and wish for a much fatter bank account.

Very little sets, partial sets or lots.
  • Where do you start?

The tobacco tins, the uncut sheets, the cards, the sets, jerseys, 19th century material, the advertising display pieces......wow.....

This auction coupled with Mastro's that just ended are absolutely incredible. That silk sheet is amazing, the Baltimore Babe Ruth card is sick, the T206 Cobb w/ Cobb back & Plank in PSA 5 are about as rare as it gets, and the rest of the pre-war cards that have been offered are spectacular. I've never seen so many high end Ruth, Gerhig & Mantle cards offered. I wish I had a couple million to invest, some of these cards will never be available again for decades.

Amen. I'm on page 7 and have yet to run across a page that didn't stun me. An 1822 book describing baseball? A Babe Ruth minor league card from 1914? A quilt made from Joe Dimaggio uniforms? A 1940 Ted Williams jersey? Cobb w/Cobb back? Man, I don't know where to start. Unfortunately, I have no $$$, so I won't be buying any of them, LOL.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
