Of course I have faith but I needed some venting.
Axtell Rose says I am a Fair Weather fan but I started rooting for the Yankees when they were terrible in the early 1970's. In 1991 when they lost 95 games and I stuck with my team as Stump Merril managed and Andy Hawkins pitched a No-hitter as the Yankees lost.
I remember in 1976 one of my high school and college buddies, who was a huge Mets fan and Yankee Hater, and me were watching Game 5 of the ALCS the Yankees vs. KC. Chambliss hit the walkoff blast and my friend started jumping up and down raising his finger as we are #1. I saiid I thought you hated tha Yankees...he said "not anymore". Now that is a Fair Weather Fan.

I figured this post was only done to try to show me up. I think this is the only post you've EVER posted when the yankees weren't winning. What, was there no more room under the bed with murcerfan hiding out there permanently?
Look at your thread starting history...you are here where the yanks are winning, invisible when they are losing, invariably coming up with some sad sack story how you couldn't post.
Sad, sad, sad when you have to post something attempting to placate someone else.
Yes I posted to show you up. You got it.
Pavano was picthing well until Sanchez made the error and let the flood gates in. Not bad considering Pavano had a concussion a few days ago.

But seriously, how much worse would the Yankee farm hands have done....Nothing against Johnson, I just wished we had more home grown pitching talent added to the roster. I am sure they can pitch 5 or 6 innings and give up 5 or 6 runs too. It would have saved so much money for the Yanks to go with the youth movement to some extent.
Yeah, Kevin, I agree with you. We are spending millions for pitchers with 6.00 ERA. Very inefficient. I still like to cheer for Brown and Mussina though. I am a Yankee fan: woodshed or WS, this is the team I like.

It was funny people saying a press release got his team motivated....uhm, shouldn't they already be motivated? How do you pay your team $200 million and not have a team full of players ready to go? Or are they all just that fat and happy they don't care?
4-9 after 13 games?
So when does George overreact in typical Steinbrenner fashion and start firing people?
I thought the same thing - why do these guys need to be "fired up" and "motivated" at their salaries? Are they not professionals? And, as far as home grown talent, the Yankee system is basically depleted. So, it is what it is - you want new players, get out the checkbook Big Stein!
