So much for the slow economy... I don't know how anyone could buy anything there and ever be able to get that much out of it if they ever went to resell. Some of the stuff, rare as it may be, is reaching absolutely ridiculous prices and still 5 hours left before they stop new bidders.
I was itching to buy that Home Run Derby set with a max bid at around 12K (+15% juice), but I am not going to spend $15-20K on it... seems like that would be very difficult to recoup even 10-20 years down the road.
Arrgh... well... I'll keep my money instead... for now.

The seller is happy and the buyer is happy. Who can ask for anything more?

<< <i>Home Run Derby is a great set. I like to think that you can always sell it on MAstro in the future and re-coup most of your money. >>
Only if the demand goes up. A $12,000 set costs $13,800 to buy. In order to make a profit, you would have to sell it for $16,250 - a 35% increase just to break even.

Maybe it's all the people getting out of the stock market.
