Schedule Makers SUCK

joestalinjoestalin Posts: 12,473 ✭✭
The defending champs get a real test for week one at home against one of the worst teams in football..the Raiders! Come on now. Bucs won
5 games last season and we start at Minnesota and at Green Bay?? I thought if you win it all one year you play a tough schedule
the next year??

It looks like the Vikes won't be starting out 8-0 this year!

Minnesota was 8 - 8 and Green Bay was 10 - 6...So what! San Francisco was really the only "rat" team in the NFC last season. What do you think they're gonna let the Bucs play the 49ers every week?

The whole AFC East has a little lighter schedule this year as they play all of the teams in the NFC South. image

What are you talking about? The Bucs have a sweet schedule. Week 7 bye, after which we go to SF. Besides the trip to SF, we don't go west at all.

No primetime games, yes sucks, but the consistent schedule is nice. We get our cold weather games out of the way early (except for the Pats game).

All in all I like the Bucs' schedule.

WE play 6 games against playoff teams 4 of them on the road. Philly plays 5 games against playoff teams and only 2 on the road. We also have to
play Carolina twice who would of killed you last year had they made the playoffs!! You end the season with the Giants, Redskins and Cardinals, while
we go to New England and then play Atlanta and NO.

How sorry was KC, Oakland, and the Niners? They are all on your schedule. You guys dont even have to go to the west coast this year, what a joke.

I guess you need all the help you can get..of course it didn't get you a ring last year did it? Oh never mind you have conf. championships...LOL

I'll admit that loss still stings real bad. Hell, I haven't even yet gotten over the loss to Oakland in Super Bowl XV. But there was no shame in losing by three points to an excellent Patriots team who some people are calling a "dynasty." No satisfaction in the loss, but no shame either - just a "stinging" feeling every time I think about it.
  • Kevin,

You think that's bad the Fins have the toughest schedule of any NFL team and we finished with the league's 2nd worst record - what's up with that?

We also play in the toughest division in football so that's not going to help either.

Wahhhhh.......image.....guess you'll have to spend the '05 season watching your 2002 highlights again. Glue the remote to your hand now so you are ready.

Anything to say about the weak NFC this year?

The match-ups are scheduled years ahead as part of the NFL's scheme. It doesn't matter who does better or worse. We all knew last year who we would play. Subsequently, the Bucs still have a 12-20 record to tarnish their ring and practically force the league to buy them back.

    Gruden's new workout routine -
20 reps running 40 yards carrying a case of GatorAde in each hand
      Refreshment of warm dark beer
Review cheat sheet of English slang like "bollucks."
Teach wife how to cook "bangers and mash."
    Manchester United here he comes!

Or maybe he'll get a job in the World League!

And he still has more rings than those bums Andy Reid and McNabb!!!

Life sucks for philly fans, don't it?

Wrong again! The Super Bowl loss hurt but ah yes we were in the Super Bowl, right? And the Eagles look great for years to come to get back in it again...compliments of Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb. Oh in case you haven't figured it out yet...When the Eagles are in the Super Bowl, the Bucs and every other NFC team ain't. HA!

"we were in the super bowl"

LOL!!! Thats pathetic, we are all laughing at you! You came about as close to a ring as Jaws did back in 80 or whenever it was....no
one remembers second place! Is Jim Kelly ever in the same conversation as Elway and Favre?? When McNad has gone 10 years
with the garbage that used to line up behind Marino and still win 12 games a season, then he can be talked about! Danny would of had
10 rings if he played with guys like TO and Westbrook.

Admit it, McNad and Reid ARE NOT winners.

Yeah its too bad that the Fish have to play the Patsies, Bills and Jets 6 times a year, while the Eagles get their sorry division. Vick is
going to be pumped week one!

    Kevin -

I would rather be in second place and not remembered.

Everyone remembers the team that won the Super Bowl and then went 12-20.

    "What happened to the Bucs?"

"Yeah they really stink up the joint now."

"Guess it's back to the Suckaneers."

"The Super Bowl must have been a fluke, a one shot wonder."

"Tony Dungy deserves the credit for that win."

At least there is one thing people can say about the Eagles.

    "They keep getting better."

I love football smack when the baseball season is only two weeks old. image
  • joestalinjoestalin Posts: 12,473 ✭✭
lets see..starting RB, TE, and 2 WR's go out and you wonder what happened? We were holding playoff teams like Seattle to 10
points when we had no offense! You better have your chin strap buckled this year!

I guess the fact the Bucs were one of the NFL's most successful franchises in the 6 years leading up to their super bowl win escapes you?

And how hillarious is it that Eagle fans are saying 'at least we were in the super bowl!'

Pathetic. I guess it's a step up from CHOKING 3 years in a row in the championship game.

The Eagles will win a Super Bowl before the Bucs win another won.

True. When the Eagles win next season, they will only to add to their string of success.

Joe, stop whining about injuries ... the Eagles have lost many players for the past several seasons. Plus, those Bucs that were injured were bums anyway.

  • Poor J.S....

When I heard the schedule announcement the other day I thought of you and your lowly Bucs. Who will our D face? You want Brad Back? Maybe we can start him and Give D.C. the week off. Heck Start Shawn Hill, Bucs wont score anyways...

Its really gonna hurt when your Boys cant score against the New Vikes image

Nate will put up 100 yds and 2 tds by the way !

To quote Lewis Black, 'Where does one obtain drugs that would make one so delusional?'

Nate will do nothing now that Moss isn't there to draw the double team.

And you are forgetting your team's single biggest liability: Mike Tice.

Hmm that must be what, 200 Burleson cards? The guy's a bum who rode Randy's coattails. This year will tell the tale.
  • A little early for football "smack", but it seems like the NFL is really trying to put the Falcons into the limelight - I believe 3 MNF home games including the Eagles and a Turkey Day game. Hopefully the Falcons will continue their success!

The Falcan'ts have never had back to back winning seasons, and they won't be breaking that streak this year.
