CICF anyone?

Is anyone here going to CICF (Chicago International Coin Fair) next weekend? I'm thinking about it as I need a coin fix.

I've heard that most dealers there are primarily selling ancient coins (ancient coin dealers? image ). What percentage of the dealers setup would be selling world coins or tokens?

The last few years the World stock has been under 40%.

You can always buy plenty of Egyptian/Middle East artifacts.....like oil lamps.....WHOOP-DEE-DO! The last time I went there must have been 3-4 of those lamp guys.......ancients abound, as well as those Cache bronze salad platters image.

    British? Virtually non-existent.

Brits mostly show up to buy at that show (unless they're ancients dealers). There will be a fair number of world dealers though. Berk, Boulanger, Zarit, Beach, Ponteirio, Moneta, Milcarek, Kern, Thornton (currency) and Stephens all come to mind.

Of course we'll be there too. (And truly, isn't that all the reason one needs to show up?) image

I will be there Friday and Saturday. Make up is usually close to 50% dealers in ancients and most of the darkside material is high end stuff. Conders are almost non-existant. Even the british dealers don't bring any.

I'd like to get there at some point, but it won't be this year. image
