BUSTED: I got FOUR Neg's today, what should I do???

Hi,

I'm writting this to let you guys know about two scumbag ebayers, please block users 77mantle77 and ctjch. These two have single handedly ruined my feedack. Here is an email I sent to ebay regarding this matter:

Hi, I'm writing this as a follow-up to six negative feedbacks i received over the weekend, as I have discover that this is part of a retaliation by another ebay member.

First of all, I'm part of an online trading group called VCT. The master mind behind this whole plan use to be a member of VCT, but got kicked out of the group due to a disagreement with another member. His name is Mike Adams of Bakersfield, Ca and uses the ebay id: 77mantle77. I made a trade with him for a bunch of baseball cards and claimed that I was ripping him off. In the end, I ended up sending all of his cards back. I thought that we were on good terms, but once and a while he will try to contact me through "Ask Seller a Question" function on ebay. Usually swearing at me or calling me childish names.

I was really mad about the fact that I had six negatives posted for me with no information to why they were left as you can see by my follow-up feedback. So I looked into the other negative feedback the buyer ebay id: ctjch aka Curtis Hatton (The one who left me 6 negatives) had left for other sellers. I came across ebay id: gizmoscards, Curtis had given him tow negatives. I contacted gizmoscards and Rick Giddings (The man behind gizmoscards) gave me his phone number and asked me to contact him.

Here's the good part... I found out that Mike Adams and Curtis Hatton are close friends. Rick Giddings let me know about this and has asked me if you need to verify this you can contact him at ###-###-####.

Here's what happen d... since I had blocked 77mantle77 from bidding on my auctions he got his good friend Curtis Hatton to bid on my auctions and than leave me negative feedbacks for no reason at all. He even had the nerve to post this as one of his feedbacks for me:

Auction # 5161580763

"Michael Corlioni from Bakersfield says watch out for this scammer"

Sic ne Curtis is in Mississippi why would he wright this?? I know the names don't match but i be live that he used "Michael Corlioni" to cover-up his friend indemnity.

I will be posting this message to numerous card trading boards to alert collectors an traders about the antics of these two scumbags.

I also ask you to remove these two from ebay parentally and remove all negative feedback that these two have posted for me or for gizmoscards as they are trying to ruin our reputation as seller.

Thank you kindly for looking into this matter.

You would think that ebay would immediately see that "Michael Corlioni," which is a phonetic misspelling of the name "Michael Corleone," is a fake, since "Michael Corleone" is a fictional character in the Puzo novel, The Godfather, and three motion pictures. In fact, the post may actually be a play on the crucial line in the movie Godfather II, "Michael Corleone says hello." I hope you're able to get this situation cleared up. Good luck.

I would love to do that!!!
  • OP= I still do not see how this has"ruined" your Ebay reputation. You still have a 99.9% Feedback most buyers will not think twice about it when buying from you. You see 6, but all Ebay sees is one.

However your obvious retalitory feedback to them makes you seem unprofessional and could hurt you more than the negs will alone.

If you are on Ebay long enough you WILL get negs. I have one because my shipping was listed as 4.00, but I paid 3.85 for priority mail.

You run the risk of getting a neg everytime you complete a transaction on Ebay. There is no set rule that says the buyer has to contact you before they leave a neg, Ebay recommends you do, but does not require it.

Look at some of the most sucessful sellers on Ebay such as JayandMarie have the negs slowed them one bit?? What would Wal-Marts feedback look like if their stores had feedback numbers?? Most Ebays do not care unless it is under 98%.

I know sellers who have 100% feedback who are very crooked, remember these big sellers can afford to pay 20.00 each and get their negs removed.

Its time to move on, buy or sell a bunch of items and get those off the first page and most buyers will never even see them.

It just seems your actions here would be adding more fuel to the fire and will possibly hurt you more in the long run.

What a couple of total jerks! To quote another movie, Rocky, there is a line from the loanshark that Rocky is working for early in the movie who has a driver that hates Rocky and Rocky can't understand why. The loanshark says to Rocky, "Some people hate for no reason."
