Hey guys take a look at this auction at tell me if its legit

I emailed this seller about this auction as i was interested in bidding and after looking at the pictures it seems the ball on the psa cert and the ball itself don't match(autographs). The guy writes me back all defensive telling me the ball is legit and i am an idiot for not being able to see the ball is exactly the same.what do you guys think?

It's NOT THE SAME BALL.... Any time I see a Desert Shield Card on ebay and the photo is out of focus... It's a counterfeit Card. This seller's photo gives it away. It's jerks like this that gives PSA and ebay a bad name!!!

The sig on the PSA letter is higher on the ball and closer to the top seam than the one in the scan. Definitely a different ball.

  • Two different balls in my opinion. The auto's are in slightly different places on the ball.
A scam if you ask me.

Must have been posting at the same time Lee!

  • I just emailed him the photos... LOL!
  • Here is what he sent me:

<< <i>I took this ball to the show in San Francisco and PSA kept the ball for the day and then I picked up the ball and they sent me the certification about 6 weeks later.I don't know if the picture in the certification is a standard one but it is not the same as on the ball. Thanks Steve. >>

  • Does PSA use a standard photo when it comes to auto.?
  • Look how far the T in Ted is above the bottom seam in one picture and how close it is in the comparison picture.

    No way its the same.
  • I e-mailed him as well:

Me - "The ball in the photo does not appear to be the same ball pictured on the COA. Do you have two of these items?"

His Response - The ball is not the same as the picture . The picture is from PSA and I would assume that is a standard picture they send out with there authenticity. I had this ball graded at the Cow Palace show in San Francisco by PSA.

shouldn't there be a sticker on the ball? or what about the "dna?" I thought they were supposed to apply some type of dna ink for authentication.

  • Looks like he is sending canned responses..

"I am looking for a signed Williams ball, I am concerned with yours the signature on the certificate is in a different place than that of the ball. Are you sure this is the right certificate?"

The PSA certificate was sent to me from PSA. I took the ball to the San Francisco Cow Palace show and PSA is set up there for Authenticating signatures. They took the ball and then I picked it up at the end of the dday and they sent me the certificate 6 weeks later. They did not take a picture of the ball at the show they cheked against signature that they have on file I would assume. There is a number on the certificate stating they certified the ball

Yes, there should be a PSA/DNA sticker on the ball with a matching cert. number. No, PSA doesn't use "stock" photos on COA's as this dildo claims. The whole point of the photo on the COA is to match that exact item.
