"They are in the 1974 "All 660 Wrappers," the first issue of the 1976 cards." I do not get the sellers statement, this makes no sence. Did he take some 76s and re-wrap them in 74 wrappers? They look similiar.

he's saying that they are 1976 packs in 1974 wrappers. i'm assuming this is similar to the way topps did football in the late 70's and early 80's. for example, topps issued some 1980 packs in 1979 wrappers. has anyone ever heard of this on the 76 baseball? i have the packs and they look decent.

    Thanks,

I'm not a pack collector and would have to check at home but Topps did "recycle" their wrappers in certain years.

Of interest is the fact that the 76OPC has the same wrapper style but with the year on it.

If no one responds with any more info, when I get home, I will look this up in the pack guide.

Yes Topps did do this . The '76 cards in '74 wrappers will say All Series-there are 6 cards to the pack vs. 10 in a regular '76 pack.

This was always a bit of a controversy among wax tray collectors. Luckily, someone "sacrificed" a tray for the good of the community, alas, the question is finally answered. 1976 Wax tray

Yes, they absolutely did this. This was quite common in 1976. I also see may 1971 packs with 1970 wrappers.
