Makes you wonder how many times dakside stuff is up on eBay and we think cool coins while someone from that country is thinking dumbazz fools bidding on pocket change.

Sad part is ... smoebody has bid on it ... twice. Some of the seller's other auctions are real beauties including ...

"LIBERTY BELL DOLLAR" EISENOWER HEAD 1976

SUPERB KENNEDY 1/2 DOLLAR 1964 NEAR UNCIRCULATED

  • Don't you think each country's people have their own prejudices when looking at their coins. It is common change to them so what is the big deal? We can laugh here in the US, but how many US quarters end up in a till in some common little store in say - Yorkshire - at the end of the day?

As i happen to be in Yorkshire I've had a few quarters in change but i haven't recieved one for many years, lincoln cents are more common but you'll only see one every few years.

Reversing the argument why would anyone buy British decimal coins? Why would any one buy a 1993 penny or a 1994 two pence? I'll not get started on 1971... image

It's kind of funny that the Kennedy half, which is the only one with any bullion value, has no bids.

Yup ... still no bids as of this writing ... tho' the Ike sure went for silly money for a circulated specimen.

Well ... all depends upon where kids nowadays start out their collections I suppose. The last bunch of 1p and 2p coins I ran across went into a YN sale.
