What do you do with your old flips?

I was just curious what everyone does with their old flips? I have a pile from the 4 big companies, including a bunch from PSA that I just recently submitted.

I realize that the obvious answer would be to just throw them out, but are the companies interested in getting these back, in a futile attempt to keep the population report in check?

I would love to hear your stories!

  • Include them in your next shipment to PSA. Apparently they will remove the cert numbers from the pop reports if they receive the flips back.
  • Is PSA the only company that will do this, or will BGS, GAI, and SGC do the same?

Buy some 2nd market PSA holders, then put substandard cards in with the improved condition flip and sell them on ebay.

Wonder if they have any way of knowing its the same card if:

    I send in a flip of a 1967 Don Clendenon PSA 5
and in the same shipment, an ungraded Don Clendenon 1967 card to be graded.

I would even like to be able, for a buck more per card even, to get a note
back from them when a "sure 7 or 8" comes back a 5, as to WHY - what did they see that
    I didn't see?

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards
  • Ok. I am new here! What is a flip? The cards that came out of your bike spokes that you are flipping on your front lawn???
My focus, 1970 Topps Baseball Raw and Graded, pre 1989 PSA Hockey and 1933 INDIAN GUM ! Yikes!!

A flip is the little piece of paper that grading card companies stick inside their slabs.

By the way, I use mine to create pretend, virtual sets on the registry ... image
