FOLLOW UP: I got FOUR Neg's today, what should I do???

Hey Everyone,

I got two more neg's form this buyer today so I decided to write ebay, here's what I wrote:

Hi & Thanks for looking into this matter.

I recieved these 6 negitives from this buyer. The buyer did complete the transaction and I did send him his merchandise as you can see by the feedback he has left. This buyer never once stated that he was unhappy with the cards I had sold him. If he were to email me and state that he was not happy with the cards I would have given him a complete refund. Here is the email I send him yesterday:

<< Whats the big idea with leaving four neg's for me? If you weren't happy with the cards all you needed to do was send me an email stating that you weren't happy and that you wanted you money returned. I would have had no problem with doing that for you, but you decided to screw over my feedback. I have over 1400 positives for a reason. It looks like you have had neg's from other ebay'ers hey??? >>

If you look at his feedback for me he states:

A$$ Clown ,Nickel and Dime Dirtbag , He was over paid and i was ripped off
I fullfilled my obligation. I paid for all auctions won, i was SHAFTED THIEF

Not only is this very inappropriate and offensive to me, but it is a complete lie. I never ripped him off and I'm not a thief. I recieved his payment and he recieved his merchandise and like I said I would have given him a refund if unhappy.

Can you do your best effort to remove these degrading comments.

Thank You,
Ryan

  • 99.9 is not going to kill you, I could see he was a jerk by just looking at the negs, seeing he is complaing about a 1.79 transaction which you describe the card as having a crease..I personally am not sure what ebay can/will do..as far as I am concerned you described the card..he paid, you shipped, he never emailed to complain, even after you offered a refund, I mean really thats all I can expect from a seller..

He is clearly a very old, married to an ugly woman, not getting any, nothing better to do, moron..

I am familiar with 60s football cards and took a quick look at your lots. By now you probably realize that in the description header on all six lots you had "1967 Philadelphia" but your titles and scans were accurate. The grading appeared accurate. One lot though had two cards which were badly miscut but the scans showed that. Perhaps he thought he was getting Topps football cards? Some people aren't aware of Philadelphia Gum football cards but again you had the scans there. Maybe he thinks these are reprints of some type? In any case, there was definitely no need for a neg or even a neutral here.

    I agree with stevek

yesterday i looked at your auctions and could not see why you would get a neg. let alone 6!

ebay prolly wont do anything about it. I usually buy from people with negs, especially like the ones you got. Guy is a imbecile.

You can get at least one of his fb comments removed for the use of profanity. Even though he used $$ in place of ss, I'm pretty sure ebay will kick it out.

Anyone else wondering if this buyer has an alternate seller id floating around the bay waves? That's a lot of feedback to go along with 0 sales. I realize not every collector has to sell on ebay, but you do know his city and you can figure out his collecting interests from his f/b. Just a thought.

Block him as a future buyer, respond to the neg's in a business like fashion for all to see....and move on.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!
  • Ebay will only remove those if the buyer agrees to remove them, while derogratory they do not fall under what ebay typically considers to be feedback abuse.

I would just let it go, Negs are not the end of the world. If you are on Ebay long enough you are going to get them.

  • Probably the only way to remove them is through Square Trade but, its going to be BIG BUCKS.
  • Give him his 6 Negs and reply to his negs he left for you.. I think when he see's what the 6 negs gives him as a overall % he might be willing to do the mutually withdrawn thing..
BTW Your negs wouldn't stop me from buying from you but i did add him to my banned bidder list image

    Need 1973 Baseball PSA 9's
  • Actually I would think that leaving the buyers negs here makes the seller look worse than than the 6 negs the buyer left the seller. Leave neutrals to the effect of paid fast, but did not contact about problem. It will make you look more professional.
