How the heck can GAI authenticate this..

That's the worst Gretzky autograph I have ever seen.. I can't believe that GAI can tell that it was actually signed by Gretzky or not. The auction.

    Maybe they figured that nobody would ever submit such a bad forgery, so it was obviously signed by The Great One when he was $h!t faced lol.

    LMFAO!! I actually held that card in my hand when I was at Valley Baseball card Shop.
    The guy came in with 25 GAI certified autos and I asked how much for that Gretzky?
    He said $75. I just handed it back to him. He had some nice Larry Birds, Magic Johnson,
    and other stars. I agree, the Gretzky is ugly.

    I would guess that the auto is real and obtained "on the fly" - when guys sign while walking, the auto isn't worth crap to me - that's why I can't see camping out and waiting for these guys - the auto you get will only be fair IMO. Exceptions will probably be rare.
