Custom Made Cards!!!

Gents,

A fellow collector emailed me a few days ago with pictures of custom made basketball cards that he had encapsulated by PSA/DNA. For example, he made his own Maravich card, cut out the signature from a signed maravich check, and then applied it to his card. He then had it graded and the thing looks stunning.

Anyway, to make a long story short, the cards blew me away to the extent where I scrapped my next Beckett article (I was writing about 40s/50s canadian basketball cards) to write about customized cards.

Thus, I need material.

If you have any material on this (i.e., know of someone that does it, etc.), then please let me know. I will give full credit where credit is due.

I think the guy on here who makes them is auctinchau, but I could be wrong.

I think Austin Chau is who emailed me. The cards look great -- especially the basketball ones. They have a look very similar to the hockey ones.

If you have pictures of any other custom basketball cards (this is for beckett basketball) ... let me know. I may use the hockey cards.

Any other leads?

Thanks, all the basketball cards are done by austinchau. So far I've only done that Sawchuk and a Jacques Plante. They're sitting in PSA/DNA's post office box at the moment waiting to be picked up and authenticated.

I have a babe ruth cut auto and was wondering if either one of you would be interested in making a custom card for me i can place the sig on.I think it would make a sweet way of showing the auto.I am willing to pay for the service.thanks

Those custom made cards look great. One hundred times better than plain autograph cuts or index cards.
