A rare predecimal Irish proof coin and this one is an excellent example of one. This year 1939 was a low mintage year for the 3 pence at only 64,000. The number of proof 3 pence struck is unknown. This coin in proof can fetch 1,600 and up.

It sure as hell looks like one.
Nice coin. I don't remember ever seeing whiskers on the bunny. Not that clearly, anyway.

Looks pretty promising as a proof, but LM is vastly more expert in this area than I.
