Don't forget the part about EIGHT MILLION CARDS GRADED.
This is what I'm wondering. If J.Gonzales has J.McDowell's flip, and R.Mulliniks has J.Gonzales's flip, then who has R.Mulliniks's flip? Hmmmm. Prediction, DaBigHurt will blame this one on BGS.
PSA clearly recognized that the card on the left is a rare Juan Gonzalez variation which inadvertently shows him as a skinny white man playing third base. The card also has an additional error in that it has Rance Mulliniks name. Two errors on the same card. Clearly there was no way to indicate both errors on the flip so they left it off (correctly).
The card on the right on the other hand....oh, never mind. At least they got the Desert Shield part right.
This is Shepard Smith with FOX NEWS...we go around the world in 80 seconds..
Newport Beach, California..
Thousands gather at PSA headquaters awiting the arrival of DA bighurt..explaining how a company such as PSA could ever allow a quality control issue sneak thru like a bad turkey at the white house on thanksgiving..
I don't get it. If you have a problem with what they did, why not contact them and get it straightened out? Why put it on a message board for all to see? Do you think embarassing the company will make them want to correct the problem even faster? PSA is a big company. They've graded over EIGHT MILLION cards. They have a huge staff that is expertly trained and certified, but their graders are also human. Now is it possible the grader all of a sudden developed a case of dyslexia and could not read the name Juan Gonzalez or Rance Mulliniks? Or perhaps it was a simple little error like someone slipping a label onto the wrong slab? I would be more concerned if the card was torn in half and given a gem mint grading like those clowns at GAI/BGS/SGC would do.
If you sent Mr. Orlando a polite email explaining the problem, I guarantee you that he would've gotten the problem straightened away immediately. You really should get in touch with the good folks in Newport Beach. You'll be surprised by how professional the folks at PSA are.
"perhaps it was a simple little error like someone slipping label into the wrong holder"
At long last, a admission of possible error by dabighurt. seriously though, if they have everything "double checked" and verified then how can this happen? must have been graded on a friday at 4:20
GG
PS: This happened on my second submission and the will recase and pay for return shipping. They told me it would be up to 20-30 business days, then I got it back in a week and a half.
Yeah, so I heard. They must be awesome at grading cards!
<< <i> They have a huge staff that is expertly trained and certified, but their graders are also human. >>
Sorry, what was the name of that organization that certifies card graders?
<< <i>Now is it possible the grader all of a sudden developed a case of dyslexia and could not read the name Juan Gonzalez or Rance Mulliniks? >>
First cancer and now dyslexia, is there no ailment you won't poke fun at? Dyslexia does NOT develop suddenly, nor does it prevent those affected from distinguishing between "Gonzalez" and "Mullinicks". That's called blindness. Although I will grant you that the mustaches are similar.
So where does Jack McDowell fit into this PSA puzzle?
Wait, I'm confused. Is PSA perfect and we're not supposed to question any of their grades or slabs, ooooooooooooooooooooooooooor are they humans that sometimes make mistakes so we need to question a grade or slab if it doesn't make sense? If there's any justice in the world, Hurt will become a Dyslexic cancer patient with an incompetent doctor that has years of training and 8 million patients treated. OK, got it out of my system. I'm done responding to this clown's posts.
Poor Juan. First he had to watch from the bench or the trainer's table as his HOF career went down the toilet. Now this. A white guy being labeled with HIS name, and HIS card being labeled with a white guy's name. And to top it all off, the EIGHT MILLION CARDS speech.
Please tell me that there are others on this site that can see that DaBigHurt's posts are intended to poke fun at the blind followers of PSA??? I am about 99% sure that's the point. When I read the responses to his posts sometimes it makes me wonder if people have no sense of sarcasm or basic intuition. You can't take everything that is written on the Internet at it's word.....
I was told by a veteran forum member that DaBigHurt is mocking Paul Howard and Dan Markel. Anybody know who those guys are? I'm guessing they were around before my time here.

I personally enjoy seeing his well thought out responses to peoples issues with PSA.
