SMR 1933 Goudey 3 Critz - is this right?

The 1933 GOudey #3 Hugh Critz SMR seems to be out of wack with the two cards around it, even though the population reports are about the same. Is this a typo by PSA or is this a true indication of true value?

Listed below are the SMR for 1933 Goudey 2, 3 & 4 (Dazzy Vance HOF, Hugh Critz and Heinie Schuble)

PSA 6 $525 / $185 / $150
PSA 7 $1,000 / $2,750 / $275
PSA 8 $5,000 / $11,500 / $1,000

And the Pops for these three are:

PSA 6 13 / 11 / 10
PSA 7 12 / 14 / 7
PSA 8 7 / 5 / 7

I can see why #2 should be priced higher - because Dazzy is a HOFer, but why is there a difference between 3 and 4?
I think these are typos...and the SMR pricing for 3 should be PSA 6 $185, PSA 7 $275 (instead of $2750) and PSA 8 $1,150 (instead of $11,500)

Not a typo. This card is and has been very well known amongst '33 Goudey collectors. It is considered, (whether actual numbers back it up or not), one of the toughest cards in the set. Perception can play an important role when it comes to bidding on certain cards.

    Superior 2002 Auction

One of the true stunners of this Superior Sports Auction was the realized price of $4,715 for the 1933 Goudey Hugh Critz in a PSA '7' grade. With only two specimens known, it appears that there were a number of Goudey collectors who couldn't wait to add this gem to their collection. As the PSA Set Registry continues to grow, it's cards like this one that can separate the #1 set from the rest of the pack.

In SMR under 1915 Cracker Jack #32 Three Finger Brown is notated as a very difficult card. While this may have once been the case, it certainly no longer is- I've had 3 in the last year, and they aren't any tougher to find than any other HOFer. Old perceptions die hard, especially when it comes to low pops. Best bet is to check the pop report against how many are locked up in registry sets. That will give you a fairly good idea of what is available.
