When is this guy going to get it? When is he going to realize his best days are behind him?
Now he wants to renegotiate his contract to make more than his salary this year? Then, when he's called on it, he goes after Ed Warder, saying Ed is only about selling newspapers (uhm, Key, he doesn't work for a newspaper).
On ESPN Radio today he says that he would teach 'any' receiver they brought in from any team in the NFL.
I am so glad this CANCER is out of Tampa. He's delusional, and a huge detriment to the locker room.

truthfully id like to see him traded and boys draft troy williamson
<< <i>radio interview he said he will honor his contract and the reports were a bunch of bs!

Of course he's going to say that...the idiot got called out for running his mouth, and he wasn't even man enough to back it up.
And trade him? Who's going to want a past his prime, possession receiver who thinks he's worth more than he is? Believe it, Parcells is that guy's only shot at a job in the league.

Can't say too much about Meshawn's wish to renegotiate.
Philly papers yesterday stated that Owen's new agent may want to renegotiate his 7 year 46 million dollar contract. The Eagles have never offered renegotiation after the first year and are set in their policy.
As for Johnson being a cancer and a detriment to the locker room?
The Bucs have many more players who will stink up the locker room in '05. One more year away from the "Tony Dungy Super Bowl Victory" and another year missed in the playoffs.
Enter Joe Stalin....bring the smack Kevin!

Why are you even comparing TO to Meshawn? TO was the reason the Eagles got to the superbowl, and he was the reason they were competitive. Had he been 100%, who knows, they might even have won.
And you talk about the Tony Dungy super bowl victory, I guess it just sucks being an Eagles fan huh? Eagles still WITHOUT A SUPERBOWL WIN IN THEIR HISTORY!
While the Bucs have won the big one. I guess I'd rather have a so-called Tony Dungy win (which we all know wasn't the case...because as long as he was the coach, he couldn't get over the hump...just like Andy Reid).
Ummm, as I recall the Eagles made it to the NFC Championship 3 years in a row without TO on their team, and made it to the Super Bowl without TO playing through the NFC playoffs, so TO is not the reason Philly was competitve, nor is he the reason they finally made it to the Super Bowl again...
Because of him they were able to get over the hump of that NFC championship game...where they had come up short 3 years in a row.
Westbrook, McNabb, the other Philly receivers (except Mitchell), and a vastly improved defense took the Eagles over the hump. They came through when TO went down.
TO was the catalyst both physically and emotionally. He took the heat off many players during the regular season by playing better than any receiver in the league, and his emotional support in the regular season and post season bolstered the other players.
The Eagles would have been in the NFC Championship again this year without TO. With a healthy TO they would have won the Super Bowl.
Bucs, schmucks, ring, riing, ring. I would take the Eagles with their record over the last five years over the Bucs any day.
Then again some fans like to stick to a 16 game season. The Bucs have made sure their fans save money on post season tickets lately.
Gruden goes after '05. The Glazers make him carry GatorAde for Manchester United to satisfy his contract. While in Europe he makes another "Chuckie" sequel. "Chuckie Returns - Revenge of the Ex-Coach" Chuckie violates league policy, gives his entire team 'roids and they wreak havoc on Tagliabue and the NFL office in NYC. Tagliabue sets him up by agreeing to let the Bucs play in the Super Bowl. While losing by 14 points with 2 minutes to go, Chuckie's head explodes from the stress. Brad Johnson emerges as the mysterious man behind the scenes who gave Tagliabue the idea, and is hailed as a hero.
Well that's merely speculation. I believe a weak NFC is what allowed a strong Philly team to get over the hump.

Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing? With all that nonsense, the Bucs still have a ring, while the Chokes (err, I mean Eagles) have 3 NFC championship losses and NO RING.
Ask any player in ANY sport, and they will say the single greatest accomplishment is winning it all.
Of course I'd like the last 2 years to have been better, but with Rich McKay's horrific GM skills leaving the Bucs in terrible cap trouble, there was little choice. That's not an excuse, the Bucs should have been 7-9 at the worst, but hey, they have their rings.
You say you'd take the Eagles record over the past 5 years over the Bucs and their ring anyday? I'd be willing to bet you every single one of those Eagles would prefer the ring over the run of NFC championship games.
That is why I am a fan and not a player.
It's also why I bought two season tickets this year, even though I live in South Florida. It's why I have spent sums of money that other people find ridiculous to go to Philly each of the last two years for the playoffs. It's why I leave the stadium not able to talk for three days and while there carouse with people I do not know as if we have been friends for 25 years.
I am a fan. I will be a fan for the rest of my life, far longer than the average career of a football player. Players must accomplish their goals in 5-10 years. That is why they will trade their career for a ring and I can understand that. I want to be the best in my field before I retire also.
The odds are better that I will see a Super Bowl Champion Eagles team.

Well I don't know about that...when's the last time a team in Philly won anything? Maybe it's the karma of the fans who boo EVERYONE. Odds are good that they'd boo god if he had an off night.
Not saying all fans are bad, but it speaks volumes when you have to have a JAIL in your football stadium.
Here are the facts
Yes yes and another yes!!! The Bucs have the ring..YOU ARE SO CORRECT!!!!
ok, now that we have agreed you are correct, about that lets look at the facts:
TO did give the eagles a "swagger" they were missing, I really feel that McNabb felt like he finally had someone he could rely on. However, as a 30 year plus eagle fan who has lived with being one of the constant division dwellers except for a brief period in the late 70's under vermiell and mid 80's under ryan, Andy Ried and the front office have made this orginazation one of the best in the NFL. The real thing that changed the season last year for the eagles was moving Trotter to MLB and Marc Siminou over to WSLB, the run defense gave up less than 89 yrd per game after that move.
The eagles in the last 5 years HAVE the best regular season record in football. 4 straight NFC division crowns, 4 straight NFC championship games. My team is in every game with the chance to win any game against any team. We have one of the youngest teams in the NFL (3rd youngest in starters age) and while we may have not won the big one yet, I like the fact that every year we have a shot at winning the division and getting in the playoffs, and not worrying about some team playing in NO and how many points are scored because of some freaking tie breaker.
And as far as a weak NFC, we cant help what the other teams do and against whom, we can only play who is put in front of us and beat them.
As long suffering fan I really couldnt give two craps as to what the rest of you think. I know where we were where we came from, and where we are now. So enjoy your PAST rings, the only team that can talk smack to me are the Patriots, they won the game, and as for the cowboys, redskins, giants...all of you pretenders ..cause at the end of the day we know who rules the NFC east, and who are the Current NFC champs until defeated..
E-A-G-L-E-S!!!!!

Yes we would boo God for having an off night and have. Every time the Eagles have come close to winning it all many of us looked to the sky and said "Oh God make it happen this time" and booed when necessary.
On th other hand, I have never seen or heard a stadium full of fans react and support their team as we did in Philly during the '04 playoffs. Every person there made whatever noise possible when the opposing team was on offense, and you could almost hear a pin drop when the Eagles had the ball. The 12th man was never so evident as in those games. On TV you could hear it, but being there it was eerie.
We will suffer the losses and rejoice in the wins, and stick with the teams through it all. Once a Philly fan, always a Philly fan. If you grew up there it's in your blood. Sure other cities have the same attitude, but Philly gets kicked around so we try harder.
I don't think they built the courtroom in the Linc. I think they left that with the Vet. They just Taser the bums and toss them over the railing. It's cheaper.
