Paul (Shimmy) sent me this information from Charlton, and I thought it might be helpful to some of you. I told him that I would post it here on the World Forum, and of course I want to give him the credit for it:
A Late Report
Good day to all. We are now well into the revisions for the 60th edition of Canadian Coins. The only remaining section to be completed is varieties, and then the pricing to be updated. I never did report back last year on the results of your answers to my question "Should the Charlton Coin Catalogue be divided: (1) CLT, and (2) NCLT, and then published as two separate catalogues. However, it is better late than never. The results were 75% in favour of the two book concept. The remaining 25% ranged between an outright NO, to variations on how the current book should be modified in some manner to save pages. I do not think leaving out information is an option. Now, when will the book be divided? Certainly not this year. The 60th edition will have 580 pages including approximately 85 pages on varieties. Over the next week I would like to post a few questions on which I would like to have your thoughts. These questions will be based on mint finishes and pricing and will impact the 60th edition. Cheers Bill Cross
