Reasults of my 1972 Topps submission

I don't normally do this, but I'm so excited I just had to share with everyone. Submission #570077 ZIP 71251. Even though it was just 18 cards, this was my best submission ever. Pulled 8s on some really tough low pop cards. You '72 guy know what I'm talking about. Not to mention the PSA 9 Rose and Munson. Bought both of them raw an ebay. Paid $42 for the Rose and $13 for the Munson. Pulled that Blue IA from a wax pack I bought a while back. Other than the Expos Team card, the Blue has been the toughest card for me to find with decent centering. Anyway, just wanted to share my good luck with everyone.

  • Jason,

Nice group of cards. The '72 set is one of my favorite baseball sets.

Where did you get the cards?

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks. Nearly all the cards I bought raw off ebay except for the Blue IA which I pulled from a wax pack and the Reggie IA which I bought from a local shop. BTW for anyone who is interested, I already have the Dietz and Henderson in my set so these are available for trade or sale. Both of them are pretty tough 8s due to centering problems. Especially the Henderson. It is one of the lowest pop 8s in the set. I haven't seen one come across ebay in a while. I may take my chances there if I don't get a decent offer on it. This just goes to show that quality raw cards can still be found on ebay if you are patient enough.

Hey Jason, any of those 72's from me? Ebay id: 49erfaithful!
    Take care, Robert
  • Robert, yes In fact three of them are from you. The Mays IA, Dietz, and the Munson. Thanks for the cards especially the Munson. Just for everyone else's benefit, Robert is a very conservative grader right on par with PSA's standards and in the case of the Munson even tougher.

Jami, the only 8 dupes available are the Dietz and the Henderson. The rest are going in my set. All the 7s are for sale, though I doubt you'd be interested in them.
