PSA grade Sports Illustrated ??

Just wondering if PSA grades the cards from Sports Illustrated? I know they grade hand cut cards and the sheets are legal. Differance is the paper stock and not as thick as cardboard. But other cards are also paper stock which they grade. I have the first 2 issues in mint shape with everything intact. I would say gem but don't want to overgrade them.
If PSA does not grade the cards does anybody else grade them? Other then A A A Sports Authenticator. If they don't grade them then could somebody please tell me why? Especially since they grade similiar cards hand cut on paper stock? This is a great question for somebody from PSA.
If no reputable grading company will grade the cards then i would like to have the issues graded and sealed. Does SGC do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

A quick scan of eBay tells me they do.
  • I believe he's refering to the cards that were inserted in the 1st and 2nd issue of Sports Illustrated.

That would be kind of cool if PSA slabbed those.

They were reprinted in 1994, IIRC. And wasn't there some sort of warehouse find of just the sheets? Or were they counterfeits? I don't know if the official reprints had any differences from the originals, so PSA might want to not handle these because of that. Though you'd think that they'd be able to spot whatever differences there would be.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay
  • As far as what i can see they are identical to the normal Topps issue, just on a thick paper stock. I have e-mailed PSA to find out. I recieved a response saying they do but e-mailed them back just to make sure. I should have said the years i was talking about but i did say the first 2 issues. I figured that they did grade the Tiger Woods and whatever else came out of Sports Illustrated lately then they should grade these ones as well. Only fair since both are licensed cards. But again i'm not going to start cutting out until somebody from PSA can tell me 100 percent that they are going to grade them. If they come back as don't grade this issue i can use the e-mail(s) i have sent to justify the cards i sent in. If they still don't grade them then they can buy me another mint copy of Sports Illustrated with the cards intact.

Don't cut them up. 1-Because you make them worthless and 2-because PSA and SGC won't grade them. Most SI#1 in mint on Ebay are the copies SI made a couple years ago. They didn't mark them as copies. These wind up in 3rd world holders. If your mint copies don't have those annoying paper advertising inserts in them then AAA is where you need to go if they grade them for anybody else besides themselves. If you have ones that were made in 1954 check with GAI. I saw GAI grade some old TV guide magazines.
