Anyone messin with Topps Fan Favorites?

This is all old school...the hogs, the killer b's, silver and black attack plus autos! I have found the retail booster boxes
especially giving as far as autos.....I pulled a Gene Upshaw parallel atuos and got 125.00 for it! Nice set for anyone
interested.

    Just checked it out on eBay. Looks like a fun set.

    I'm a little confused though. Some sellers are listing cards as 2004 and some as 2005.
    Are there two different sets or the sellers just listing the same set using the two different years ?

    I love the set. I've pulled about six auto's and bought about 8 or 9 more. I love the set and hope I can collect all the auto's in between the other 50+ sets that I'm trying to complete image So far I've pulled Hugh McElhenny, Russ Grimm redemption, John Hannah, Billy Johnson, Roger Craig and Lyle Blackwood.

    By the way, nice pull on the Upshaw.

    Wolfy - I've noticed the same thing. As a matter of fact, when it first came out, I kept searching for 2005 and found very little. I didn't realize that the set is actually 2004 until the Sun Times show in Chicago last month.

    I bought a box + some packs and pulled a Mark Clayton auto and William Perry auto. I also have a lot of 79 extra base set cards on ebay right now.

    anybody got a checklist for the set? There is one on topps.com and maybe I'm missing something, but the numbers of the cards I have don't seem to match up for the base set??

    yes, this is football, there is a checklist included in every booster box.

    It's weird because the auto redemptions say 2005 Fan Favorites but it's a 2004 product.

    Topps has been blurring the line between dates for a very long time. Even back in 1999 they called a product that hit in February
    of 2000 a 99 product. They want to call it 04 because then they can make it again that year....there is probably some legal
    mombo jombo that says it needs to be 2005...beckett and collectors will consider it a 2004 product.
