PSA/DNA custom-made cut auto, series 2

this is by far my proudest creation, my favorite basketball player Pistol Pete, I actually spent quite a bit of money to acquired this cancel check. I wonder if I put it on ebay, would it fetch some good money? just a thought, what do you think. Anyways, I have posted all my new PSA/DNA cut auto on my website http://67.49.73.230/auto , thanks for looking it out !

I just tend to think that autographs like that retain more value when the full cancelled check is kept as-is, and not cut up....
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I like them slabbed in the standard card sized holders whether cut down to be 3.5 x 2.5 or cut smaller to fit onto a nicely designed 3.5x2.5 card. The only things I wouldn't cut up would be things like photo's, tickets, equipment..

    Nice additions austinchau!

How long does it usually take for you to get your submissions back once PSA/DNA receives them?

i like the way austin is doing these.. i actually think i would prefer these over the whole check.. i'm primarily a card collector, and i like the uniformity that the slabs give them.. but its allabout personal preference..

What did you pay for the check? Pretty rare that its not signed Pistol Pete.
  • Very Cool auto's, Austin have you tried adding them to the set registry.
They should be able to work, since they have serial numbers and PSA
is now letting us add them as no grades. Why not be the first to request
a Basketball Autographs Hall of fame set and show off your collection in
the registry. That will inspire me to create some cards myself and enter
them in the same set registry with you. These are too cool....

  • I like those a lot, what is psa charging for those? do you supply the pictures or do they? Pm me, I have some nice cut auto's I might like to try.
My ebay store IS CLOSED TEMPORARILY
  • they charge just like any other PSA/DNA item, $20 for most signatures a littler higher for the rarer autograph, their have a listing for fee for different players.

I'd be interested in working on a Basketball HOF Autograph set as well. What would it take for PSA to add it?

I would suspect that if you auctioned that item you would pay for the check and listing fees, and be well compensated for your time. This is the type of thing that the Ebay Best offer is ideal for. List it with an extraordinary BIN and see what offers come out.
  • Am i wrong or is maravich's name spelled wrong on the autograph?
  • Wufdude- just request the set, you just need to have 3 Basketball HOF autograph cards already graded by PSA.
And they will add the set registry for you, it takes like 2 to 6 weeks for it to get online.

Spelled right, written kinda funny. But definitely spelled correctly.

Thanks Jery. I've got several autos but just none graded yet. Once I get them slabbed I'll look into getting the set added.
  • I have requested the basketball HOF autograph set as well a few days ago. My goal is to complete that set but I know there are a few deceased HOFers who are nearly impossible to obtain. My guideline for this collection would be I would only do a custom-design cut auto card only if there isn't a certified autograph by a big company for that player. That's great hopefully we can all work toward that set =)

  • I would assume the Basketball HOF Autograph set would only include the 129 entries that are used for the HOF set? I believe there are over 250 enshrinees in the Basketball HOF with many foreign players, college coaches, etc. Completing the auto set for the 129 entries would be a very cool thing to do....

Something like that would fetch big bucks on mastro

  • I was testing the water and sent an email to Maestronet and the guy replied to me saying "my collection is not for them", I wonder what that means, I am certain with the popularity of Pete Maravich authentic autograph alone can fetch at least $500. I wonder if it is because the card is custom-design but I do see sometimes Maestronet has lot of signed index cards which by no means are real cards.
