Has PCGS considered starting a conservation service?

    We've considered it, but we have some pretty big problems with the whole concept and frankly, we think a lot of good, totally original coins are being ruined. Just our opinion. A little light dipping for really gunky coins makes sense...but there are lot of coins being stripped of their original luster. It just doesn't feel right to us.
