Who will be the worst team in MLB?

Everyone wants to predict who wins the WS, but what 's the team that will hover around 0.333?

I think it's the Devil Rays. Sanchez is the first guy to get suspended from roids, Piniella's been frustrated for a while, and the rest of the AL East is very strong. Do any of you guys have thoughts on which team will be the worst?

    I agree with KC. They weren't even good when they had Beltran last year.

    Pinella is a great evaluator of talent, and knew what he was getting into by signing there.

    KC has no desire to spend money, and no talent on the field whatsoever. To start some arguements and get under some people's skins, though, I'd say the Mets are the worst image
  • My pick for the cellar in the 6 Divisions:

    NL West - Rockies
    NL Central - Pirates
    NL East - Nationals

    AL West - Mariners
    AL Central - Royals
    AL East - D-Rays

    From here. I think the D-Rays (Have to play the Red Sox and Yankees 17 times each I believe) will lead the way.

  • There were 4 teams last year that were laughable with more than 95 losses.

    These teams were:

    W L

    Arizona 51 - 111
    KC 58 - 104
    Seattle 63 - 99
    Montreal 67-95

    The only team that will move out of its cellar this year will be Arizona (Thank God for Colorado). Please note, this doesn't mean some of the other teams cannot improve on their records. You can still have an 81-81 team in the cellar, although I don't see it happening this year.

    Why is everyone just going to assume the Mariners going to be the worst in the AL west? Yes, they had an abysmal year last year (I'll be the first to admit it).

    But this year, Oakland traded away 2/3 of their quality starters for players who are least a year away. Texas played out of its head last year, and it's unlikely the entire team will overachieve like they did last year. Anaheim (of LAA, whatever they are called) has turned into a west coast version of the yankees, with the owner spending like mad to bring quality in.

    As unlikely it is that Texas will overachieve this year again, it's also unlikely that the Marines will underachieve as they did last year. I guess it's easy to look at last year's records, ignore the offseason moves and trends, and spit out your predictions.

    This may seem like it's just coming from a bitter Seattle fan, but honestly, I don't care what you all think image I'd just like you to choose to use some thought processes when making your picks.

    The Mariners will be vastly improved this year. Bank on it.

    Well kuhlman and spammy, I can see the only reason you like your teams is because they have won rings.

    Typical NY fan...they ignore anything else outside of NY....

    Greinke will win 15 easily.

    Bautista will be a nice acqusition from Baltimore.....he went 8 innings tonite and allowed 3 hits.

    Sweeney will have 30 HR and 100RBI again this year.

    I guarantee KC will NOT be the worst team in the central this year.

    The Dodgers have cellar potential. I think Gagne might be worse than they are letting on, and they have an infield of Dick Stuarts. Lakers tank and now the Dodgers- they'd both do OK if they could just fire their owners.

  • If the Drays didn't play the Yankees so much, they might be in first in this race image But KC has really pulled ahead, losing 17 in a row. And they seem to enjoy losing by just 1 run.

    Lets see

    A)42 games under .500. They are more games under than how many wins they have had.
    B)3-14 WOW!
    C)Bautista. He did pitch well. Too bad it was only for 3 games though.
    D)Sweeney 18 HR 62 rbi...not looking so good for 30/100
    E)in last by 18.5,

    Do you have any football picks?

    I'm just glad I didn't catch this thread at the start of the season. I would have predicted big things for the Cubs.
