Type 1 and 2 proof sets?

Hi everyone,
Recently I have been trying to complete my collection of proof sets and I have come across a few in the past week that listed the 79 and 81 as having some of the coins in the set mixed, meaning some of the coins were clear "S" and others not.
I was under the impression that they were either all or none in each set. SOMEONE set me straight please. Can they be mismatched or is someone pulling my leg . Thanks Steve

Yep, they can be mixed or they can have all type 1 or all type 2. My birth year is 79 and I'd like to get my hands on an all type 2 set, so far I only have mixed sets. BTW, welcome to the forums.

Yep Smitty is correct. The come mixed and a full T2 set is tough to find.
