I collect rare records and stamps...because I need to collect something and I love rare records and stamps are very cheap. I would collect coins but I can't figure out what I should collect because I like it all and I can't afford to do what would really make me happy (see below comment re Bill Gates money.)
I "collect" coins in the sense that I help many collectors put together fabulous sets.
If I had Bill Gates money I would try the "impossible"...complete set of US coins in finest possible condition.
