Star Trek the Next Generation - LeVar Burton

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,397 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have a LeVar Burton autographed script from Star Trek the Next Generation. Anyone know the approximate value of this? The script has the LaForge parts hi-lited and has pages of different colors which I was told is because of revisions in the script.

    Hi,
I would need to see a scan of the item and the signature in order to help you with a value. Thanks! Will look for it image

    Hi Ajaan,

judging from those scans, those are both "very likely authentic" - they look fine. I don't have as many exemplars for modern signatures as I do for vintage material (for Trek I have the sigs of Shatner, Doohan, Kelley and Nimoy from the late 60's but nothing from the newer Treks in my collection), but I do have a few Burton exemplars and yours are fine IMHO. The SP (signed photo) goes for around $50-$70 give or take - keep in mind it is b/w and not color. Modern sigs have yet to establish values like older items so there will be variance. There are also a good number of forgeries of moderns - many dealers don't buy or sell anything from anyone alive. The script I will have to do a bit of looking for an idea of value. Your items appear to perhaps been signed at the same time - were they? How did you get them? Thanks!

    Billy,
I am 99% sure they are authentic. I got both items at an auction for Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Here is a letter from Burton's assistant. Once again, thanks.

    Hi Ajaan,
understand it would be irresponsible of me to say "100% authentic" just from observing a scan. Having said that - they are lovely. I will try and find a few prices for the scripts for you - a wild guess would be $175, but that is only a guess. Could be a bit more.

    Best and thank you,
    Billy

    Interesting forum, guys!

I have a few interesting autographs that I've had since I was a kid in the '70's:

1)Robert Conrad's autographed picture signed to me, i.e. "To Victor, love Robert Conrad" when"BaBa Black Sheep" was in its prime.

2)Paul Anka's autograph from Caesar's Palace in '77. Signed on "felt" brochure for his show.

3)Hank Aaron's autograph and alot of other baseball players which my grandmother got in the '70's when she was working a convention in Las Vegas.

4)Oh, and John Phillip Law's, too. You know the original Sinbad from the '50's.

5)And I have some slabbed coins with autographs of Geoge Bush, Elizabeth Jones, etc.

Anyway, I'm just sharing and these are not for sell.
