This was my first attempt other than the initial 4 free submissions for joining. This first group were not cracked out, but there was no minimum grade specified.

I know "Buy the coin, not the holder", but as a collector, I would rather have a PQ 64 in a PCGS holder than a questionable 65 in a smaller TPGS's slab. So far PCI older Green labels have done well. I have one more group of 5 in that I hope to get back in a few weeks.

AlfredE, I think you did pretty good.

The 81-cc was a disappointment. I bought it raw as a MS64 at the TN State Coin Show after having two different grading companies look at it and say it would go 65. It is a very clean (possibly cleaned) coin and I didn't detect any problems, but that's why I pay to have the coin graded.
<< <i>PCGS doesn't like to grade PL & DMPLs, send them elsewhere. You have balls to submit coins to PCGS in SEGS and ACG holders. >>
Yeh, after reading about the lawsuit by ACG, I was sorta embarrased to have not cracked that one out. I don't think it cost me the 2 points on the 1898-s AU, but I'll crack them out in the future.
