I just found out my grade on the 1952 proof quarter I sent to NGC. My first pop 1 coin!

If you just got DannyMail™ today, it isn't in their pop report yet. They update on Mondays, just like PCGS.

Thanks Russ, I was a little worried. Hopefully it will grade better. I'll be

My only experience with NGC is they downgrade PCGS coins (even when you send it in raw). Sort of goes against what everyone says.

Wow. I'm not usually that impressed by Washingtons, but that one rocks.

Looks practically CAM to me! (Except maybe that little bit by the eagle's right armpit. Or "wingpit").

He made money since PCGS doesn't designate the variety, and it got the star designation.

(Assuming he didn't overpay for the coin, of course).

It was a $200 coin when I bought it. The last NGC coins that sold in Heritage
Auctions went for $430 (NGC PR64) and $630 (NGC PR66). The PCGS coins that
are advertised as being the "Superbird" variety haven't sold anywhere near
those levels from what I've seen. Since the designation will be on the holder
as well as being a Pop 1 coin now, ( was pop 20/0 at PCGS ), it should bring
a lot more money now. When PCGS decides to recognize the variety, then and
only then would I consider sending it back.
