<< <i>when I look at the NGC pop report it only shows
one new coin, a PR66*. It will be the only star coin in non-Cam if this is the case,
but a 2 point downgrade seems a bit extreme >>
If you just got DannyMail™ today, it isn't in their pop report yet. They update on Mondays, just like PCGS.

Thanks Russ, I was a little worried.

Looks practically CAM to me! (Except maybe that little bit by the eagle's right armpit. Or "wingpit").
Best of luck with the grade.
I think NGC is getting tougher. I just mailed 2 coins back to them for regrade.
We will see.

<< <i>I told you it would cross and is a solid coin

And you were also correct that it would likely get the star designation too.

He made money since PCGS doesn't designate the variety, and it got the star designation.
(Assuming he didn't overpay for the coin, of course).

It was a $200 coin when I bought it. The last NGC coins that sold in Heritage
Auctions went for $430 (NGC PR64) and $630 (NGC PR66). The PCGS coins that
are advertised as being the "Superbird" variety haven't sold anywhere near
those levels from what I've seen. Since the designation will be on the holder
as well as being a Pop 1 coin now, ( was pop 20/0 at PCGS ), it should bring
a lot more money now. When PCGS decides to recognize the variety, then and
only then would I consider sending it back.

I did forget it was a superbird !
Kudos and Congrats !
<< <i>What is DannyMail™??? >>
It has something to do with Pitney Bowes™.

I don't know.
BTW, Cameron, if the Man of Steel collects coins of silver and gold, do you think Gumby collects sample slabs?
Somehow, it wouldn't surprise me.
