FSH 1781 G Britain 1d MS-65 NGC

Here is one very high grade coin for the 1700's! Just thought maybe someone here would like it. I don't have a Krause catalog so I would appreciate if someone would tell me what it is said to be worth.

    Neat.

Funny how all the George III Maundy pennies I have seen or owned have been in NGC slabs. That white insert really swallows 'em up.

Is there some doubling on George's profile, there?

PS- I am without my 18th century Krause at the moment- sorry.

yes, its doubled, alright. Only on the front of his face, I think. I guess the die maker had trouble centering it.

Here's the one I used to have. (Now featured on a certain Dead King's website.)

It was NGC MS63. I won it in a generous giveaway from NEN.

It shows when I go there. Might have something to do with the Commodore 64 and 11" b&w Monitor you are using.image
