    Wow. That's a toughie.

    54,000 minted, if I recall correctly? Somethin' like that. I remember buying one for fifty bucks, back in the early 1980's. But mine was AG and pretty ugly.

    Takes me back to about 1975 when a had purchased a beautiful Fine-12 for $175 out of Coin World. I tried for 6 months to find anyone to pay $225 for it. A price I felt was very fair. Finally a dealer (Harbor Coin?) paid my price after every seated collector in the country passed on it via an ad in the Gobrecht Journal. My how things have changed in 30 years.
