A Conder

Thought I'd share this one with you. My computer has been giving me fits with pictures for the past month, so I have a backlog of Conders I'll be posting, if anyone is interested.

A D&H 180 National series.
Silver proof. The dark areas you see are purple, fading to lighter purple in the fields. Alas, my photo skills are lacking.
Diesinker: Droz
Manufacturer: Probably Boulton

British Historical Medals # 311; Silver N or Barton's silver RR

Barton's silver was a sandwich of silver around a copper core (sort of like current US money). The article indicates that Boulton was the minter. There was a different obverse die as well that has DROZ F. under the bust.

    Tres cool dude! image
