this 1923-D Peace Dollar.

Any scratches are actually die cracks.

I think the 23-D is notorious for die cracks.

Edited to get the date right...sheesh it's late!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

The name is LEE!

It does have good luster which unfortunately gets eaten up by the scanner. I'd photograph it but my photography sucks as bad as my grading abilities.image

    I think it looks more like a 1923 .

That said I'd call it 63/64
