Unfortunatley, the only thing that determines whether something is JUNK or TREASURE, i s what it's owner does with it, and it's value to it's new owner! But, what a waste of a nice chunk of gold.

That St. Gauden's is a shame. The worn 1913 quarter eagle -- I'm not happy about it either, but at least it's a circulated common date coin.
