1999 is definitely the rareity of the series. Only 36 have been graded to date, with 10 in 64, 10 in 65, 10 in 66 and 6 in 67. A 66 will be between $650-$800 anyhow, and the 67 will sell well north of a grand.
You want to sell it?

dpoole, I'm a buyer if you're referring to PCGS graded ones - I'll take ALL you got.
Speaking of Ken Potter, (for those that want a little market background on this coin) he was selling a PCGS graded MS66RD one for $2,500 last week on eBay. He has a habit of changing up his listings though in mid-stream so I can't find a link. $2,500 is a little strong though for a PCGS graded MS66RD IMHO. Last one we sold in 66RD went for $1,750 about 5 months ago. We do have a PCGS MS67RD one though now.
Ken was also selling a PCGS MS65RD one for $850 very recently.
Ken's site is also very informative as to what the markers are for this variety.

James,
I personally would not pay more than $ 300.00 for a Ms 66 Red,
unless I had a buyer. Maybe down the road things will change, but for right now demand is not enough to justify current asking prices.
The same thing happened with the 1995- P Doubled Die Cent. More were discovered, and prices dropped dramatically !!

In my opinion this is not a valid comparison...very different situations.
I like the long-term potential of this variety a lot...if these were being offered at the lower price levels quoted here I would buy 'em all.

while in fact he has had only one year of experience...
twenty times.
I certainly agree with Rella, that this is no 1995 DDO, btw. The pops have been and remain amazingly low for this date. No big influx is on the horizon. They haven't been found in rolls or quantities like that, and more are presumably passing into circulation as times goes by.
