I'm pretty sure the '41 (the one graded "MS-65") is an AU -- I definitely seewhat looks like rub on the upper leg. I think I see rub on the '44 as well, but I'd want to check its cartwheeling to make sure, and it would not shock me to see that one get into an MS holder (though I doubt it based on what I see here). I think both are 58s, with the '44 being a "true" 58 closer to MS.

The combined purchase price of these two is roughly on par with paying MS-60 money on average -- so while you didn't get a rip, IMO, you didn't do horribly either. You probably paid MS-60 money for nice AU-58 coins, which isn't unusual at all.

Though if the seller's claims of unbroken luster are true...all bets are off and you would have done considerably better. You just can't cartwheel a digital image in the light, which is why it's hard to justify paying more than AU-58 money for raw coins like these where there's any question about lack of detail.

I think you could have gotten slabbed ones for that price.
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.
