More fun collecting SQ's

I enjoy finding nice AU state quarters now and then in change. It is neat to see the earlier ones in AU as most I find are pretty beat up. I like having incomplete sets and my state quarter folders have mostly Philly mint coins. The Denver mints are scarcer here on the east coast and the few Denver coins I have are from the beginning of the programme when I lived in Washington state. Today, I found a nice AU Mass. quarter from Denver and I was thrilled. Needless to say I still enjoy the hunt rather than going to my local dealer to find them. A challenge is more fun.

I would agree that I also really enjoy the hunt of finding either something new or better than I already have to add to or upgrade my change collections. However, I often get dirty looks from the cashiers when they give me change and I start looking at it right away. I’m sure they think I’m re-counting it because I don’t trust them, when I am just looking to see if I was given anything good.

Got a Denver mint Delaware quarter in change the other day. It looks to be in the AU range.
