Yes, similar to Coin Vault. Lots of great hype and so forth, coins overgraded/overpriced.

I tried them several years ago. In the ad they had claimed to not have a monthly lot returned for X # of years. The second month of being on the XF-UNC 19th +20th C. monthly package, I caught on. Lots of 'tweener' coins for the grade. I called and canceled my monthly program, and 2 weeks later received another lot. I refused the package and call G+F to re-affirm my cancellation. The guy was a bit upset.image He tried to ask what my level of expertice was because he only sends solid coins, good values, blah, blah...... Had to eventually take that claim out of the ad! I They do have some decent coins but they are overpriced and sometimes generously graded.

If it sounds to good to be true,.................................
  • Many years ago I gave it a shot while I was getting back into the hobby. Looking back the coins were over priced, but the coins I kept were decent. I think I sent a few shipments back until they had a idea of what I would accept. After a year I bagged it, and moved onto dealing with certian dealers and auction houses. Cancelling was a pain, I received a few shipments after cancelling, so I cancelled my credit card. After I cancelled (the program and the CC) I received notices for 2 years that my credit card could not be charged and I needed to send a check for the next shipment.

I got three "solid MS65" Morgans which ANACS graded MS63.
  • I am starting to get the feeling that I should just runaway.

Why would you buy coins from a Bowling supply company? Yes, you should run and find more solid sources of rare coins from established sellers who haven't sold "investment packages"
to newbies. I guess they had to jump to slabs to stay in business.
I'm surprised they are still around.

He called me on the phone a few times. He calls himself a doctor of some sort. Or he was formerly a doctor. I don't recall the specifics. Talks very earnestly and vigorously.

I did not buy from him so I cannot comment.
