1971 Mint Set Question

I have two 1971 Mint Sets. One is all D mintmarks with red plastic running along the sides of the package. The other has teal green plastic running along the sides of the package with no mintmarks, but it has two pennies, and the second penny has a S mintmark. Can someone please explain the deal with the teal set.
I don't really collect mint sets, so I'm not really up on them at all.

I don't do color well, so "teal" doesn't mean much to me
But, from your descriptions, it is 1 Mint set for the year 1971.
The US Mint separates the "D"enver coins in RED and the "P"hiladephia coins (along with the business strike "S"an Francisco lincoln if it was minted that year) in the other (blue/teal).
That is what you are describing.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

<< <i>Seems the mint only made S mint Lincolns for circulation in 71. With a few silver clad Ike $ being an exception but were not included in the mint set. The other coins, nickel, dime, quarter & half, S mint were struck as proofs.
Also not included in the set were the regular issue cu/ ni clad Ikes from the
Philly and Denver mints that year. These wouldn't be included in the set un-
til 1973 when, ironically, they were not made for circulation because they were
already backing up in storage.
In the blue striped envelope is one of each other denomination and the S cent.
The red stripe are all Denver mint and includes the cent.
The blue stripe changed colors somewhat over the years with 1975 being a
transition year. There are two different "blues" for the '75 set. There is very
little difference between the two except that the darker color is a little more
likely to have gem quarters. There are a few other packaging differences over
the years and some of these are much more important.
